Culturally, a goal of the GSE is to promote an appreciation of international diversity. Thus, the program provides an organized and meaningful host program for participants, who are able to immerse themselves in another country, its people, language, customs & institutions. Where possible, GSE teams stay in the homes of Rotarians within the hosting district to foster lasting friendships & international understanding in a spirit of fellowship, communication & goodwill.

NEW PROJECTS

Rotary Family Bike Event::This event is in the planning stages and would be a second fundraiser for the Club.  Thoughts are for a family oriented event for all ages.  Currently proposed for May 2013.

Early Act First Knight:: Themed around gallant knights and Rotarian values, this proprietary program is sponsored by Rotary Clubs for local campuses and teaches kids how to become noble, service oriented people along with why it is important for them to do so. EAFK is amazingly effective, with 100% of participating schools crediting the program with significantly increased academic scores, decreased behavioral issues, more teaching time and happier faculties and parents. This committee is in the beginning stage and will target a Title 1 Greenville Elementary School.
